Painting a concrete basement floor

The basement floor before we did anything with it.  Glue and paint everywhere!

we rolled on a coat of the medium brown paint over the entire floor as the base color for the tile pattern. We didn’t use a paint tray, just spread it around with the roller, being careful to get good coverage over the rough cement texture. I cut in the edges with a paint brush.
